At Cedar Lodge, we specialise in residential dementia care, providing long-term, respite, and day care tailored to each resident’s unique journey. The Limes is our secure mental health unit supporting adults aged 25 and over who require specialist mental health care focused on recovery, rehabilitation, and wellbeing.

To make a referral:

We work closely with the person being referred, their family, and health and social care partners throughout the referral, assessment, and admission process. Our Clinical Assessors work with you to carry out an assessment promptly after receiving a referral, helping to ensure continuity of care and a smooth, well-supported transition into our service.

The Limes unit specialises in mental health care for adults aged 25 and above who have complex mental health needs. Our dedicated team delivers individualised care plans within a secure, therapeutic environment, working closely with healthcare partners to support each person’s journey towards greater independence and community reintegration.

To refer a client, we ask for a detailed referral form including medical history, current care needs, mobility and cognition levels, and any specialist support required. We also request recent assessments, medication details, and contact information for involved healthcare professionals. This helps us plan personalised care and arrange a smooth admission process.

We use a person-centred approach, developing tailored care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams. All staff receive ongoing training in dementia awareness and mental health care. Regular reviews of care plans and involvement from GPs, district nurses, and specialist practitioners ensure that care reflects changing needs and promotes wellbeing.
